“He was called to heaven today” – When Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany lost her family member at a Chiefs game
Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews have been dating each other since their high school days. Both of them have been with each other through the ups and downs of their lives so far.
Back in 2018, the Mahomes and Matthews families suffered a very huge loss. During a Kansas City Chiefs game, Brittany Matthews’ stepfather passed away. He suddenly collapsed while waiting to enter the stadium to watch the game. Brittany’s father never recovered from it and left a huge void in everyone’s life.
After the incident, Brittany posted a heartfelt message on her Instagram account. She wrote, “Today is a day I will never forget. Directly after this picture, I sprinted to the front entrance to see my stepdad passed out. He did not come back from this and he was called to heaven today … We will miss you, Paul … so, so, so much! I will take care of mom for you.”
This was a very sad moment for everyone associated with Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews. Suffering a loss of such a high magnitude is never easy to cope with. Hopefully, they got better as time passed by, and Mahomes and Brittany Matthews eventually got married and are living a happy life.
